Summer VonHolten is a contemporary oil painter and art mentor based in Tomball, Texas, known for her nature-inspired works and expressive use of color and texture. Born and raised in Tomball, Texas, Summer developed an early passion for art, drawing inspiration from the rural countryside of her hometown. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Houston in 2002, focusing on painting and visual arts.
Summer began her career as an Art Instructor at the Houston Community Arts Center, where she taught painting workshops and helped develop youth art programs (2003–2006). She later served as an Assistant Curator at Sunrise Gallery in Houston (2006–2008), gaining experience in exhibition coordination and artist relations.
In 2010, Summer established her own studio in Tomball, where she works as a full-time oil painter and art mentor. She creates commissioned works, exhibits her paintings in local galleries, and offers workshops to help emerging artists explore their creativity.
Summer is a member of the Texas Artists Alliance and the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society. Her work has been featured in exhibitions across Texas, earning recognition, including the Emerging Texas Artist Award in 2010. Through her art and teaching, Summer continues to inspire others to embrace the beauty of nature and the creative process.
