About Sir Patrick Bijou
Sir Patrick Bijou is a United Kingdom-based investment banker and fund manager with more than 30 years of experience in debt capital markets and private placements. His career spans trading, structured finance, fund management, and leadership roles across international financial institutions.
Bijou began his career at Wells Fargo Bank on Wall Street. He later moved to the trading floor, specialising in derivatives and debt markets, and expanded into bond trading and investment banking. Over time, he worked with institutions that include Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, Credit Agricole CIB, Calyon, Lloyds Bank, and BlackRock, where he held a Director position.
At Lloyds Bank, he helped establish an MTN and Private Placement Desk and increased self-led deals from 4% to 32%. His work has included structuring and managing financial products across asset classes such as equity derivatives, commodities, foreign exchange, credit, and inflation-linked instruments.
Bijou has also founded and managed hedge funds, including The Tiger Fund. Since 2015, he has led Blackhorse International and Blackhorse Holding LLC as founder and chairman. In 2024, he became Founder and Chairman of Westpac Trading FZE and founded Blackhorse Tec Acquisition Ltd.
In addition to his financial career, Bijou is the author of books on private placement programmes. His professional credentials include FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licences and completion of the CFA Level I exam.
