About Shawn Blankenship

Shawn Blankenship is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Medical Director based in Charleston, West Virginia. He is the founder and owner of Holistic, Inc., a healthcare practice that provides medical and counseling services with a focus on holistic care. He has held this role since 2018.

Blankenship began his career in the U.S. Navy, enlisting after graduating from Huntington East High School in 1988. After his honorable discharge, he worked in healthcare while attending school. He earned his nursing degree from St. Mary’s Nursing School in 2011, where he was class president and graduated with honors. He continued his education at Marshall University, completing his degree in 2013. In 2015, he graduated with distinction from the Chamberlain School of Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Over the past three decades, Blankenship has worked in various nursing roles before becoming a nurse practitioner. His medical practice, Holistic, Inc., offers services in physical and mental health, using a patient-centered model of care. As Medical Director, he oversees clinical operations and provides direct patient care.

Blankenship’s approach to healthcare emphasizes empathy, discipline, and long-term well-being. He has a strong interest in improving access to care and supporting underserved communities. In addition to his clinical work, he is involved in community service, including support for a local battered women’s shelter.

He lives in West Virginia with his wife and daughter. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, running, and real estate investing. He continues to focus on personal and professional growth through goal setting and lifelong learning.
