Shane Kinahan

Shane Kinahan is an investment manager and principal at Lake Avenue Capital, LLC. He is based in Greenwich, Connecticut, and is also associated with Stamford, Connecticut. He works in alternative investments and class action claims.

Kinahan attended Stamford Catholic High School in Stamford, Connecticut. He later studied at Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts, where he earned a BA in Finance (1990 to 1994).

From September 2006 to October 2011, Kinahan worked at Goldman Sachs in New York, New York, where he served as a Vice President. In October 2009, he founded JMR Partners, LLC and has served as Founder and Managing Partner since that time.

In October 2011, Kinahan became a Co-Founding, Managing Partner at Lake Avenue Capital, where he continues in that role. His work there includes evaluating and managing investments that fall outside traditional public markets, and handling claims-focused strategies tied to class action matters.

Since August 2018, he has also been an Investor and Board Advisor at Drawbridge Partners, LLC, based in the New York City Metropolitan Area.

Outside of work, Kinahan’s interests include golf and ice hockey. He has also been involved in philanthropy and has made donations to charities and community causes in Connecticut, including efforts connected to youth development and financial education.
