Saswat Panda is a nature photographer based in Atlanta, Georgia. His work focuses on wildlife, landscapes, and environmental storytelling. He is known for combining photography with conservation awareness and ethical field practices.

Panda studied Environmental Studies at the University of Georgia. After graduating, he worked with conservation nonprofits focused on land preservation and biodiversity protection. This early work shaped how he approaches photography and how he thinks about human impact on natural spaces.

Over time, Panda transitioned into photography full time. He uses his background in environmental science to guide where and how he works in the field. His photography emphasizes patience, distance, and minimal disruption to wildlife and ecosystems. He avoids practices that could cause harm or overexposure to sensitive locations.

His images often focus on quiet moments in nature rather than dramatic scenes. Common subjects include wetlands, forests, wildlife, and changing landscapes across the American South and other regions of North America. His work has been featured in National Geographic, Outdoor Photographer, Smithsonian Magazine, and Nature Conservancy Magazine.

In addition to his photography, Panda leads workshops for aspiring outdoor photographers. These workshops combine technical instruction with education on ethics, wildlife behavior, and environmental responsibility. He teaches participants how to photograph nature without disturbing it.

Panda is also working on a photo book titled Still Wild. The project documents endangered landscapes in the American South and highlights the idea that these places remain active and worth protecting. Through his work, he aims to encourage careful observation and responsible engagement with the natural world.
