Sam Lagod is an Atlanta real estate professional with extensive experience in real estate investment operations, property management, and student housing across the Southeast. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, on March 3, 1990, he grew up in a close-knit family with his parents, Lynn and Tim, and his brother Jake. His early childhood was filled with sports including baseball, football, hockey, and wrestling, along with family cookouts and vacations.
Lagod graduated from Marist School in Atlanta in 2009 before attending the College of Charleston, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Hospitality in 2014. While in college, he worked as a bartender and server at Mellow Mushroom in Charleston from 2009 to 2014.
He began his real estate career after graduation with Carolina One Real Estate as a Real Estate Agent from 2014 to 2017. He then transitioned into commercial real estate, working as a Leasing Coordinator at WRS Inc. Real Estate Investments from 2015 to 2018, followed by a role as Leasing Manager at WRS Realty from 2017 to 2019.
In 2019, Lagod helped start Amicus Properties, a real estate investment firm focused on student housing throughout the Southeast, where he served until 2025. In this role, he managed real estate investment operations across Georgia and South Carolina, overseeing leasing teams, contractors, property management, acquisitions, and dispositions while guiding investors through all stages of the investment process. Since 2025, he has continued his work as a real estate professional based in Atlanta.
Lagod volunteers as a coach for the Marist High School Varsity Wrestling Program and has volunteered with Project Open Hand. He states that success means building a life where he is proud of the work he does, the people he surrounds himself with, the relationships he builds, and the impact he leaves on others.
