Robert McRath

Robert McRath is an airline captain based in St. Louis, Missouri. He serves as a Captain at Endeavor Air, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, where he operates scheduled regional passenger service across the United States. His responsibilities include pre-flight planning, crew coordination, real-time operational decision-making, safety management, regulatory compliance, and communication across all phases of flight.

McRath grew up in St. Louis and developed an interest in aviation during middle school. He was active in Boy Scouts from an early age and earned the rank of Eagle Scout, an experience he has credited with instilling early leadership and responsibility.

He attended Saint Louis University, where he studied Aviation Science and graduated cum laude in 2019. During his time there, he was a member of the Flying Billikens Flight Team and received the Aviation Science Research Project Award.

Following graduation, McRath pursued a career in regional aviation, advancing to the role of Captain at Endeavor Air. He continues to volunteer as a mentor to the Flying Billikens Flight Team at Saint Louis University, supporting aspiring pilots through career guidance and hands-on counsel.

McRath has spoken publicly about the importance of mentorship in addressing pilot shortages and strengthening career pathways in the aviation industry. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate, consistent with the requirements of his Captain role at a regional carrier operating under Part 121 regulations.
