Mindy Knapp is a marketing and event planning professional based in Urbandale, Iowa. She has over a decade of experience helping small businesses and nonprofit organizations improve their outreach and engagement. As a self-employed Community Marketing & Events Consultant, she develops marketing strategies, manages public relations, and organizes community events. Her work focuses on strengthening local businesses and creating opportunities for community involvement.

Previously, Knapp served as a Senior Event & Marketing Coordinator at the Urbandale Business Alliance from 2012 to 2016. In this role, she promoted local businesses, coordinated networking events, and launched initiatives that increased community engagement. From 2009 to 2012, she worked as a Marketing & Events Coordinator for the Heartland Nonprofit Network, where she managed fundraising events and volunteer programs.

Knapp holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Iowa. She has earned certifications in event planning, digital marketing, and social media strategy. She is a member of the Iowa Event Planners Association and serves on the Urbandale Small Business Council.

She is actively involved in local volunteer work, including organizing Urbandale’s Annual Festival and leading a school supply drive for underprivileged children. She also conducts community craft workshops to promote creativity and engagement.

Knapp focuses on sustainable event planning and continues to explore ways to reduce waste and improve environmental practices in her work. She is committed to helping businesses and organizations build strong connections with their communities.
