About Michael Matvieshen

Michael Bradley Matvieshen is a Canadian entrepreneur based in Kelowna, British Columbia. He works in solar energy, construction, and sustainable agriculture. Matvieshen is the founder of several companies and currently leads operations at Sunlogics Power.

He began his career after leaving Mission College, where he studied math. His first major success was a joint venture with General Motors. Together, they built the first charging system for the Chevy Volt. He also helped develop solar charging stations in Shanghai and at GM’s Asian headquarters.

Matvieshen has worked across multiple sectors internationally. His companies employ over 100 people. He is known for designing passive solar greenhouses, which reduce energy use in food production. He also started a food business that donates high-quality food to Okanagan food banks. To date, he has contributed donations valued in the multiple six figures.

His work has received local recognition, including the “Best Farm Store” award from the City of Kelowna in 2024.
