About Matthew Lewis Labarre
Matthew Lewis Labarre is a youth sports leader and licensed soccer coach who co-founded Never Too Young FC to provide structured, play-based sports programs for children ages 3-5. A former High School All-American soccer player and Dartmouth College men’s soccer team captain, he advocates for earlier, more inclusive access to movement, nutrition education, and community-centered play for very young children.
Labarre was selected to the High School All-American Soccer Team and earned All-State honors in both basketball and baseball. He attended Dartmouth College, where he studied sociology and played on the men’s soccer team. He served as team captain and was invited to Regional and National team pools during his collegiate career. His experience across multiple sports shaped his understanding of athleticism, leadership, and how young athletes develop confidence and discipline.
In 2021, Labarre and his wife co-founded Never Too Young FC from their home in Dover, New Hampshire. The program was created after they identified a gap in youth sports where very young children wanted to participate but were often told they were too young. Never Too Young FC introduces soccer and basic nutrition concepts to children ages 3-5 through playful, noncompetitive activities designed to build confidence, coordination, and social skills. The company operates in the Seacoast region and limits registration to 14 participants per session to maintain a manageable, family-centered environment.
Labarre’s coaching philosophy centers on creating joyful first experiences with movement rather than focusing on technique or competition. He holds all required coaching licenses through USA Youth Soccer and Grassroots Soccer. Over four years, Never Too Young FC has provided soccer and nutrition introduction for young families across the Seacoast region. Labarre continues to design session structures, train coaches, and oversee the operational and strategic direction of Never Too Young FC.
