About Mark Stephen McCollum
Mark Stephen McCollum is an automotive retail executive and software founder based in Austin, Texas. He has over 35 years of experience in dealership operations and automotive retail leadership.
McCollum served as Market President for AutoNation, the nation’s largest automotive retailer. In that role, he oversaw 22 franchises under 18 rooftops and managed revenue in excess of $1.5 billion. His responsibilities included leading large, multi-store teams and supporting performance across sales and service operations.
Earlier in his career, McCollum held leadership roles with Sonic Automotive, including serving as a general manager. He also worked with numerous private-capital automotive retail groups, gaining experience across different dealership ownership models and market conditions.
In recent years, McCollum founded Automotive IntelliQence, an enterprise software company focused on automotive retail. As Founder and Chief Executive Officer, he has focused on developing software designed for auto dealers and dealership teams.
McCollum attended Lon Morris College and Texas A&M University, where he studied business finance. He graduated from Conroe High School in 1979.
Outside of his professional work, McCollum’s interests include golf and basketball. He supports the Center for Child Protection in Austin.
