Mark Siegwald has more than 24 years of experience in the insurance and restoration consulting industry. He began his career as an insurance adjuster with Kemper Insurance and Liberty Mutual, where he spent over 10 years handling property claims. He transitioned into restoration leadership roles with Munters Corporation, Belfor USA, and Response Team 1, developing expertise in water damage, structural drying, mold remediation, and repair estimating. After working as a consultant with Young & Associates, he joined Bower Building Consulting as a Senior Consultant in 2023.
In his current role, he is called by insurance companies to assess damage after natural disasters, fires, floods, hurricanes, and other events. His work includes damage assessment, setting reserves, aligning contractors with scope of work, auditing estimates, negotiating contracts, and reviewing project files to ensure repairs are completed correctly. He evaluates complex commercial losses, from hospitals and schools to manufacturing plants and courthouses.
Siegwald holds several restoration and construction certifications, including IICRC restoration field designation, Applied Structural Drying (ASD), Water Restoration Technician, Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT), and Associate Constructor Certification (AIC). He earned a BA in General Studies from Northern Illinois University, where he played on a soccer scholarship. He later played club soccer in England and Mexico.
Outside of work, Siegwald is a member of Rock Valley Anglers Club and maintains interests in fishing, hunting, and golf.
