About Kendra Stearns Drozd

Kendra Stearns Drozd began her professional career in advertising at Lois/EJL in Chicago, working as an Account Executive on quick-service restaurant, hardware, and automotive accounts. One project involved coordinating costumed Colonel Sanders characters for a KFC product launch throughout Chicago, including appearances at Cubs and Blackhawks games. After several years in advertising, she pursued her MBA at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, where she thrived in a collaborative environment and traveled to Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, and the Caribbean.

After graduating from Kellogg, she joined Kraft Foods as a Senior Associate Brand Manager, working on Kraft Singles and a new dinner kit product called FreshPrep. She conducted hands-on consumer research, including in-home ethnographic studies observing families during after-school and dinner routines. She later transitioned to executive recruiting at Bloom, Gross & Associates, a boutique all-women recruiting firm focused on consumer packaged goods marketing, where she worked from home three days a week, in the Chicago office one day, and was off on Fridays.

After the birth of her third child, she stepped away from full-time work to focus on raising her four daughters and volunteering in her community and schools. Since 2012, she has served as a commissioned Stephen Minister, providing confidential one-on-one emotional and spiritual support to individuals experiencing life crises including grief, divorce, illness, loneliness, and loss. She currently resides in Bluffton, South Carolina.
