About John Boyett

John Boyett is a Senior Vice President at CBRE in Los Angeles County. He leads the firm’s multifamily investment sales team for the region. His work focuses on the acquisition, disposition, and repositioning of apartment buildings across Southern California. His clients include private investors, high net worth individuals, family offices, syndicators, and institutions.

Boyett has closed more than 500 million dollars in multifamily transactions. He joined CBRE as a First Vice President and was promoted to Senior Vice President within one year. At CBRE, he combines a hands on advisory approach with the research, analytics, and reach of a global commercial real estate firm.

Before joining CBRE, Boyett worked at Matthews Real Estate Investment Services. His performance there was recognized with several internal honors. He received Sales Achievement Awards in 2020 and 2021. In 2022 he earned the Chairmans Award, which marked him as one of the company’s top producers.

Boyett’s connection to real estate began early. He grew up in Napa, California, where he helped his father with investment properties and tenant management. This experience gave him a practical understanding of ownership, operations, and long term investment strategy.

Before his real estate career, Boyett was a high level student athlete. He played football at Napa High School and entered the school’s hall of fame. He then attended the University of Oregon from 2009 to 2013 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. He was a four year starter, a three year captain, and part of teams that reached major bowl games.
