About Jeff Rothbard

Jeff Rothbard is a tennis coach based in Carmel, Indiana, with additional ties to Illinois and South Carolina. He is widely known as “Coach Jeff” and works with players of all ages, including youth, juniors, adults, and seniors. His coaching focuses on fundamentals, footwork, mental toughness, and consistency. Rothbard emphasizes simple methods such as the “bounce-swing” rhythm for timing and the “Next Time” reflection approach to help players reset after mistakes.

Before turning to coaching full time, Rothbard spent more than 30 years in business. He founded SilverCreek Properties, a commercial real estate firm that managed projects across 18 states and grew to include more than 60 properties before it was sold in 2006. He also worked in residential property investment and construction, gaining experience in leadership, planning, and growth strategy.

Rothbard later returned to his lifelong interest in tennis. He has built a coaching career that combines technical training with mindset development. His work includes private lessons, group clinics, and junior development programs. He is known for teaching players to value attitude and effort as the keys to performance.

In addition to coaching, Rothbard has been active in community and charitable work, including support for youth programs. He has written articles on platforms such as Quora and Medium, where he shares views on coaching, leadership, and personal growth.
