Goutam Datta

Goutam Gary Datta is a Senior Financial Advisor and co-founder of Adson Wealth Partners, a Wells Fargo Financial Network company, based in Coppell, Texas. He has a background in engineering, business ownership, and financial services.

Datta was born in Kolkata, India. He moved to the United States in 1982 to pursue graduate studies. He earned a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He later attended Rutgers University, where he studied finance. In 1990, he received a U.S. patent for a sifting apparatus developed during his early engineering career.

From 1986 to 1995, Datta worked for a manufacturing company in New Jersey. In 1995, he started his own business and remained self-employed for nearly three decades. During this period, he gained experience in operations, financial planning, and long-term business strategy across several Northeastern states.

In 2012, Datta entered the financial services industry with Merrill Lynch in Southlake, Texas. He later worked at Edward Jones from 2015 to 2025. In 2025, he became a Senior Financial Advisor at Adson Wealth Partners.

His practice focuses on retirement planning, portfolio management, tax-aware strategies, insurance solutions, and business retirement plans. He works with individuals, families, and business owners. Datta is licensed in multiple states and holds a California insurance license. Outside of his professional work, he is a published poet and playwright.
