About Elaine Ollerton George
Elaine Ollerton George is a registered nurse and clinical educator based in West Valley City, Utah. She works with Mountain Health Alliance, a nonprofit organization focused on improving community health. She has over 20 years of experience in hospital and community care settings.
George began her nursing career in 2004 after earning an Associate of Science in Nursing from Salt Lake Community College. She later earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in nursing education. Her early clinical roles were in medical-surgical, telemetry, and step-down ICU units at Pioneer Valley Hospital and Intermountain Medical Center.
From 2014 to 2021, George worked at University of Utah Hospital as a charge nurse and clinical preceptor. She provided direct patient care, trained new nurses, and contributed to patient safety and wellness programs. In 2021, she moved into a full-time educator role, where she develops training programs and supervises student nurse rotations.
George holds certifications in trauma-informed care, behavioral crisis intervention, and clinical education. She is also certified in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. She is a member of the Utah Nurses Association and serves on the advisory board for Nurses for Rural Utah.
In addition to her clinical work, George is active in health outreach. She volunteers at local clinics, school health nights, and chronic disease management events. She has received awards for her service and leadership, including the 2022 Nurse of Distinction award from Intermountain Healthcare. She continues to live and work in her hometown community.
