Drew Brown IV, MD, FAAOS is a board certified and fellowship trained orthopedic spine surgeon based in Tampa, Florida. He is the founder and President of DB4Spine, a private practice established in March 2019.

Dr. Brown earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin, where he also played NCAA Division I basketball. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2006. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine from 2007 to 2013. He then completed a spine fellowship at the San Diego Center for Spinal Disorders in La Jolla, California, from 2013 to 2014.

From 2014 to 2017, Dr. Brown practiced as an orthopedic spine surgeon at Florida Orthopedic Specialists. During that time, he helped develop a spine program within a multi-specialty orthopedic group and contributed to the growth of a spine institute focused on outcome based practice methods. In 2018 and 2019, he practiced minimally invasive spine surgery at Laser Spine Institute before founding DB4Spine.

Dr. Brown is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He has completed Maintenance of Certification requirements extending through 2036.

In addition to his clinical work in Florida, he serves as an associate professor and volunteer spine surgeon at FOCOS Orthopedic Hospital in Accra, Ghana, treating complex spinal deformities.
