About David Plunkett

David E. Plunkett is an American accountant and business leader based in Massachusetts. He is the founder of MPS Tax Services Inc. and co-founder of Miasserian & Plunkett LLC, where he provides accounting, tax preparation, and advisory services to individuals and small businesses across the North Shore region.

Plunkett began his career at West Lynn Creamery as an Assistant Accounting Manager, gaining experience in corporate finance and budgeting. He later worked for MSM Management as Controller, where he oversaw internal accounting systems and business reporting. His next position was at Bruker Corporation, a global science and technology company, where he advanced to Controller, Treasurer, Vice President of Finance, and Chief Financial Officer.

After several decades in corporate roles, Plunkett transitioned into public accounting. His experience in financial leadership helped him establish a reputation for reliability and accuracy in tax and business services. His practice now serves communities including Newburyport, Lynn, Peabody, Danvers, and surrounding areas.

Throughout his career, Plunkett has emphasized long-term client relationships, careful financial management, and ethical practice. He is also active in community service, volunteering with organizations such as the Salvation Army and supporting breast cancer awareness and local fundraising efforts.

Plunkett holds a B.S. in Accounting from Merrimack College, an MBA in International Business from Suffolk University, and an associate degree in Liberal Arts from North Shore Community College. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Massachusetts.
