David Berggren founded Furniture Connection in October 1999 after believing furniture prices were higher than necessary and customers deserved better treatment. Today, more than two decades later, Furniture Connection operates a 46,000 square foot showroom in Clarksville, Tennessee, the largest in the city, serving Middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky with a business philosophy built on value, trust, and long-term relationships.

David Berggren, owner and founder of Furniture Connection, is raising awareness about the growing importance of supporting locally owned businesses and community-based organizations in Middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky. After more than two decades in retail, Berggren believes local businesses play a critical role beyond sales, supporting families, schools, and nonprofits including Hope to Dream, Judy’s Hope, Hope House, FUEL, Kenwood Middle School, and Austin Peay State University.

His role is hands-on, overseeing vendor relationships, pricing strategy, inventory mix, hiring, training, and operations with a focus on space, service, and long-term customer relationships.
