About Chris Nicholas Vrame
Chris Nicholas Vrame is a Sacramento, California-based entrepreneur and real estate developer with a career spanning hospitality, sports innovation, and residential and commercial property development. He grew up in the greater Chicago area and attended Oak Lawn High School before studying at DePaul University in Chicago. His early exposure to a major metropolitan environment shaped a people-focused approach to business and long-term project management.
Vrame co-created The Tasting Room, a wine bar in Chicago that offered guests the ability to sample more than 100 wines by the glass each night. The concept earned recognition from Wine Spectator. He later co-founded Arena Softball, an indoor softball venture he has described as a first-of-its-kind sports innovation concept.
After relocating from Chicago to Sacramento, Vrame expanded his focus to real estate development. He served as Project Manager at AKT Developments, Inc. and went on to co-found Sierra Holdings, LLC and Conservation Resources, LLC. His most significant development project is the Lakeside Business Park and Residential Planned Community in Elk Grove, California, a mixed-use development incorporating more than 300 single-family homes alongside commercial space. The project required navigating extended zoning processes and multi-year timelines.
Vrame has written and spoken publicly about the value of long-term thinking in community development, the cost of stalled land to surrounding neighborhoods, and the role of persistence in turning ideas into operational projects. He operates independently across his various ventures under a self-employed structure.
