About Benjamin Nasberg
Benjamin Nasberg is a Canadian entrepreneur and business executive based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Carbone Restaurant Group, an industry-focused restaurant company that develops and scales modern dining concepts. He has led the company since July 2012.
Nasberg began working in restaurants at the age of sixteen. This early experience introduced him to daily restaurant operations, customer service, and team management. In 2011, he was approached by two partners with the opportunity to become managing partner of Carbone, which at the time operated a single location. Over the next four years, the business expanded to four locations and broadened into related ventures, including a nightclub, a sports bar, and an events company.
As CEO, Nasberg oversaw Carbone Restaurant Group’s transition into a multi-brand organization. The company focuses on quick-service concepts, ghost kitchens, and robotic restaurant models. Its strategy emphasizes data-informed decision making, operational efficiency, sustainability, and scalable partnerships.
Nasberg is also involved in community-focused initiatives. He created the Restaurant Emergency Support Fund in partnership with charitable organizations to purchase food from local restaurants and distribute it to food banks. The initiative supported restaurants under financial pressure while addressing food insecurity. He also partnered with the Westland Foundation to establish a culinary arts scholarship for Winnipeg students attending Red River College. In addition, he has supported programs such as KidSport Manitoba and Coats for Kids.
Nasberg earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Zoology from the University of Manitoba. He was recognized by the Business Elite Awards as a Top 40 Under 40 entrepreneur.
