About Art Serna
Art Serna Jr. is a bilingual executive and strategist who works at the intersection of technology, capital, and social impact. He is the Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Cosmos Renewed, where he partners with leaders in AI, health tech, and edtech to design growth strategies, guide digital transformation, and support M&A integration and post acquisition planning. His work focuses on aligning operations, culture, compliance, and capital so organizations can scale in complex environments.
Before launching Cosmos Renewed, Serna served as Chief Executive Officer of City on a Hill in Milwaukee. There he directed full P&L ownership, multi site operations, and facility expansion for a community health organization, while leading fundraising efforts that secured more than ten million dollars. He previously held the Executive Director role for Teach For America in Oklahoma City, managing a multimillion dollar budget and a regional team that supported an educational leadership network serving more than 14,000 students.
Earlier in his career, Serna was Director of Training Services at the Texas Charter Schools Association and held several roles with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services focused on contract policy, process redesign, and training. He began his professional path in youth and family services, including program leadership at Family Forward and SAJE Inc., after an AmeriCorps service year in Texas.
Serna holds a BA with Honors in Astronomy from The University of Texas at Austin and an MS in Management of Technology from The University of Texas at San Antonio. He is also certified in cybersecurity and generative AI focused programs for organizational leaders.
