About Andrew Kaiser


Andrew Kaiser began his veterinary career in 1975 after earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He practiced at West Quincy Veterinary Clinic from 1976 to 1984, gaining experience across a range of cases involving companion animals, exotics, and small mammals. In July 1984, he founded Katherine Road Animal Hospital in Quincy, Illinois, where he served as the primary veterinarian for more than three decades.

Under Kaiser's direction, Katherine Road Animal Hospital became the first veterinary hospital in the region to achieve accreditation from the American Animal Hospital Association, a distinction the hospital maintained for 20 years. He developed systems for staff training, diagnostics, client communication, and medication handling, and directed a raptor rehabilitation center focused on injured birds of prey. He also served as the veterinary provider for the City of Quincy Animal Shelter from 2006 to 2013.
