About Andrew Jordan


Andrew Jordan is an American educator and school administrator. He is the current Superintendent of Donovan Community Unit School District #3 in Donovan, Illinois. He began this role in 2023 after serving as the district’s 6–12 principal from 2019 to 2023.

Jordan has worked in public education since 2010. He started his career as a high school teacher and boys’ basketball coach at West Prairie High School in Sciota, Illinois. He later became the school’s assistant principal. From 2016 to 2018, he served as principal of West Carroll Primary School in Savanna, Illinois, where he led a school of 450 students.

During his time at Donovan, Jordan has overseen several grant-funded projects and school improvements. These include high-impact tutoring programs, school safety and mental health initiatives, and facility upgrades. He has also helped restructure teacher pay and improve communication between the district and the community.

Jordan earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and physical education from Northern Illinois University. He holds a master’s and specialist degree in educational leadership from Western Illinois University. He also has a Chief School Business Official endorsement from the University of Illinois at Springfield. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) at Western Illinois University.
