Andrew Bartnikowski is a firefighter and lead paramedic based in Westerville, Ohio, with a career that spans emergency services, nonprofit leadership, and client-facing roles in finance and sales. He joined the Pleasant Township Fire Department in July 2025 after more than a decade with the Columbus Division of Fire, along with prior service in Worthington, Ohio, and Bluffton, South Carolina. On scene he has led thousands of critical care incidents and is known for clear clinical communication, rapid needs assessment, and steady leadership under pressure.

Andrew teaches recruits and paramedic students as an academy, EMS, and live fire instructor. He piloted and trained teams on reporting software that cut patient-care report time by 20 percent, reflecting strong technical aptitude and change enablement. As a union steward and negotiation committee member, he helped secure a 350 million dollar labor contract and contributed to health and safety policy.

Earlier in his career Andrew worked as a financial mortgage planner and account manager, exceeding quota six straight years while delivering product education to builders and commercial clients. He began in the trades as an HVAC installer and pipefitter, building a foundation in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems that he continues to apply to apparatus and equipment maintenance.

Andrew founded the Class 12/10/12 Foundation, a 501(c)(3) that has raised more than 200 thousand dollars to support first responder families and mental wellness initiatives. He holds Ohio paramedic and instructor credentials, OSHA 30, and hazardous materials, inspection, and rescue qualifications.
